Random & Lost Perception - Cosmo Canyon (Ft. the Ranger)

Now for something a little bit different. Black Materia: Final Fantasy VII is an album by emcee Random aka Mega Ran produced by Lost Perception. As you can probably guess its a hip-hop album inspired by the video game Final Fantasy VII. Random has managed to make a name for himself by merging two of his favourite things, hip-hop and video games. This isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but Black Materia offers some very talented lyricism and story telling on Random’s part, as well as some hard hitting Final Fantasy inspired beats from Lost Perception. This is obviously a must listen to album for FFVII fans, but I think the album is an interesting change of pace for all hip-hop fans in general. I maybe be slightly bias though, as FFVII was my favourite game as a kid. Give it a chance and you may be pleasantly surprised.
